Olivia Jailyn Keys of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, answered her call to Heaven on April 9, 2016.
After a long battle with complications following a bone marrow transplant, Olivia passed away peacefully in her home with her parents.
She will be forever honored by her parents, Michael Keys and Cynthia Marsh of Hattiesburg, MS, sister Natalie Weathers of Palm Bay, FL, two brothers, Jared Keys and Michael Keys II of Hattiesburg, MS, grandparents Leroy and Ora Keys of Prentiss, MS, Vi Parsons of Rocklin, CA, and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Known for her beautiful smile, witty personality, and kind-hearted demeanor, Olivia was an active member in River of Life and Destiny Churches. While she was well enough, she played softball at Optimist Park and attended Oak Grove Attendance Centers.
Her Celebration of Life Ceremony took place on April 16 from 2-4 PM at River of Life Church in Hattiesburg. Per her request, attendees were asked to wear purple with ladies in red lipstick to reflect her favorite look.
Her obituary was published in the Hattiesburg American on Apr. 14, 2016.
Olivia Keys was cremated and her ashes are with her family members. Her memorial plaque was placed in Ridge Haven’s Memorial Gardens on 19 September 2023. At the memorial plaque ceremony, Olivia’s memorial was installed along with her two Great-Aunt’s, Annie Mae Carr, and M. Nadine Carr Tripp.
