John’s obituary was published in the Appeal Democrat newspaper, Feb, 2004:

“John Michael Davis, 22, of Yuba City died February 10, 2004, at his residence. Born in Fresno, he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 16 years. A graduate of Faith Christian School, he was a student at the University of California, Davis.

Survivors include his parents, Jim and Michele Davis; a brother, James R. Davis; and his grandparents, James E. Davis of Fresno, Josephine Davis of San Diego and Doris and Bob Grimes of Mesa, Arizona.

John’s memorial plaque was installed on 5 November 2024, on the first anniversary of his Grandmother Doris Louise Grimes passing.
